Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan Contract term: Seasonal with possibility to extend contract for a year
Work hours: 40 hours per week average. Roster will be made based on resort occupancy and hours variable dependent on the schedule of guests and the tasks requiring completion each day – the role will not always follow a routine pattern of hours and as such will include work on weekends and public holidays.

The Role
Night auditor will be expected to serve as the point of contact for guests after Front Desk is closed for the evening at 10pm. The person will be responsible for the emergency phone to assist guests if they need help after hours. Night Auditor will assist the Front Desk team in preparing the required documents for the next day’s arrivals including paperwork and welcome packs for guests. For guests who arrive into Niseko after hours, the Night Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the guests safe arrival and completing check in process if required. Regular hours will be approximately from 10pm until 6am, with driver hours being required during the day or evening time (ensuring adequate break time between shifts and subject to the businesses’ needs).
Key responsibilities
- Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies after reception hours.
- Handle overnight emergencies, in the event of a medical emergency with a guest, fire alarm, and others.
- Assist with preparation tasks as needed to assist Front Desk team for the next day’s arrival.
- Meeting guests upon arrival and transporting them safely to their property.
- Checking guests into their accommodation, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and providing guests with information regarding accommodation features, important information and local points of interest
- Assisting guests with check-out including luggage storage and transporting guests to departing transportation if required
- Transporting guests to and from the Grand Hirafu ski lifts and assisting them with skis / snowboards, poles etc.
- Assisting guests with resort related enquiries, answering questions and generally being a source of local knowledge for guests
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Computer literate. Ability to compile reports as required using appropriate computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills – proficient in English and Mandarin, with basic Japanese language skills preferred.
Qualifications
- Hospitality and luxury hotel experience preferred
- Eligible to receive work authorization in Japan (Working Holiday Visa preferred)
- International Driver’s License/Japanese driver license is a must
- Ability to work through the night and without direct supervision
- Japanese and English language proficiency at a minimum of conversational level is highly preferred.
- Must be willing be stationed at any resort.

- Salary is between ¥200,000 – ¥250,000 monthly depending on experience
- ¥100,000 signing bonus
